‘Taint fancy but it sure is good…Safeway supermarkets…

Safeway supermarkets created a house brand in the late 1970s called Scotch Buy (tapping on how Scots are supposed to be thrifty) which was patterned after generic label products, and while I recall the frozen foods under that brand I don’t recall them having their own brand of beer. Safeway’s house brand of sodas, Cragmont, switched names for a little while to Scotch Buy also, before changing again to Safeway Select.
